There was a crazy low offer on multiple bird-boxes on ebay – so I took it. And the lovely seller sent me another lot free! I thought I could paint rainbows on them and give them as presents to neighbours.
Mum replied: “Anyone will like those they’re cheerful!” when I anxiously expressed whether they’re everyone’s cuppa tea. (The ‘Boys’ may open a gay nightclub for birds with theirs).

We kept one ourselves which is now hanging in the apple tree in the back garden. The same tree that gives us the most beautiful blossom each early spring. It features a fluffy mad looking caterpillar, Scottish-orange in hue. I just couldn’t part with that one.

There are MANY more bird-houses waiting to be painted. I think I may put some up for sale and give half the funds made to the Seahorse Trust charity.

I do like rainbows. They’re a fitting emblem for HOPE.

Love to you – keep safe xox
