Ukrainian artist Snezhana Soosh is a mom to a 9-year-old son, but it’s fatherhood that has inspired her darling illustrations. In whimsical washes of watercolor and ink, Soosh depicts the precious bond between an imaginary dad and daughter in a series of small, sweet moments.

I had to reblog this – it’s touching and honest and real! Daddys are important too.

My own father used to gently brush our hair. He was patient and kind. He’d sing to us whilst doing so. Memories like these I treasure; the ones when he was overburdened with running his businesses still hurt today. He was overly ambitious to provide for us – but it isn’t really a golden life when you’re damaging yourself.

So few words yet so powerful. I love my daughter more than anything and big, strong daddy is tearing up as I type this. Thank you….

I’m glad it touched you too. 🙂
The artist so expertly painted those special moments. I don’t think a lot of people realise, but if you click on the link of the original post it takes you to more of her paintings (on this theme).
My own father was close to me when I was little, but sadly, he grew more distant. (The writing between the hearts is mine).
