20th June 2020

Photos I took of a few of the patio plants and the tomato seedlings on the kitchen windowsill.

The weather was most beautiful on Summer Solstice. I made sure everything was watered – with John’s help! I couldn’t possibly tend to all the plants alone with a watering can or bucket because our hose pipe broke. Another should be coming today.

I was excited to see the first ripening blueberry, which has turned pink! (I assume they are the classic blueberries in dark-blue).

Below photo: yet more buds are opening on the orange poppy.

Below photo: simple yet stunning, these beautiful clematis flowers. This is the 2nd or 3rd day of them opening. Funny how they grabbed onto the washing line!

Below photo: the ‘San Marzano’ tomato seedlings, grown from a supermarket tomato. Beside them a mystery seedling! I can’t remember what on earth I sowed here. I must have done it quickly while cooking, thinking it probably wouldn’t ‘hatch’ lol.

About Oscar Dandelion

Hi, I'm Faith McCord, writer of the Oscar Dandelion books. I love reading, writing, watching films, looking at architecture and general design, embroidery (especially Elizabethan), spending time with my family. I used to enjoy long walks, bodybuilding, going out, however, since my injury my mobility is seriously impaired, so I'm more of a home-body now. I'm interested in meeting other indie / pro writers, so do say 'Hello' ! :)

Saw another scorpion in my house tonight! Eww!! You asked how they get in, they’re small, like large spiders, the exterminator said they come in the doors and windows, anyplace that isn’t sealed perfectly. They are freaky. I thought they were dark colored, the ones here are little and a pale color, I thought it was fluff on the floor. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
I’ll try to get by more often. I’m in status migraine mode, I haven’t had a break this month, so I’m not on the computer too much. And the stress of things is getting to me. One day at a time. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Goodness, those scorpions would freak me out. They sound dangerous. ๐Ÿฆ‚
I’m sorry to hear about your horrible migraine and stress, I hope you’ll able to get some relief soon.

The scorpions freak me out too!! It’s the only thing I don’t like about my neighborhood. I found out they are prevalent here. ๐Ÿ˜ณ The exterminator came yesterday! ๐Ÿ˜‚
I’m a bit better today. Found out I have a UTI and probable ear infection, so I started on antibiotics. My gut isn’t happy, but I think that might be why I was feeling so much worse?? Maybe? I’m not even running a fever though, it just hurts. Eh, we’ll find out soon. ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Good that the exterminator came. Why aren’t they living in the cacti out in the desert?! ๐Ÿฆ‚ ๐ŸŒต ๐ŸŒต ๐ŸŒต
I’m glad you’ve started some antibiotics and hope the pain eases. At least you don’t have to worry about those fluffy brown critters anymore ๐Ÿ˜‰
Best and love and wishing you lots of flowers for your garden! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒน๐Ÿต๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒฟ
